2nd G-Node Winter Course in Neural Data Analysis

The German Neuroinformatics Node (G-Node) organizes its second training course to promote state-of-the-art methods of neural data analysis among PhD students and postdocs. During 4 days the course offers hands-on experience with model-driven analysis of data from intra- and extracellular electrophysiology. We encourage applications from students/postdocs with an experimental background that want to widen their repertoire of analysis methods as well as from students with a theoretical background that have developed an interest analyzing physiological data in order to test model predictions.

All participants must have ample programming skills in Matlab. Most analysis tools have to be programmed by the individual participant, under the guidance of tutors. Participants should show interest in model-driven analyses and be open to theoretical approaches to data analysis. Likewise, they should show interest in the practical analysis of real biological data.

Credits (2 ECTS) are granted to PhD students where applicable. Acceptance of credits is subject to the rules of the respective graduate program.
Total number of participants: 16. The number of participants from one work group is restricted to a max. of 2.
